TASTING NOTE
A blush pink, fresh & crispy wine, showcasing bright acidity. The nose displays sweet Turkish Delight, while on the palate you are greeted by watermelon, rhubarb & custard flavours. A juicy creamy finish ensures for a perfect summer wine.

THE HARVEST
Good rains in the lead up to the harvest was a big improvement on the previous three dry years. The summer was also cooler than previous years and will lead to more fruit driven wines.
IN THE CELLAR
It was never our intention to produce a rosè, but during the 2014 harvest we had grapes that were left over after we had finished picking the block for sparkling wine. These grapes were on the vines for an extra couple of days and were harvested separately. This small batch turned out too ripe for base wine but perfect for rosè. The rest is history. Our winemaking philosophy is simple, the grapes were whole bunch pressed in order to minimize tannins and maintain fruit and elegance in the wine. Only the first half of pressed juice was used for the final product to minimize the extraction of colour.
